Core and bladelet technology was a hallmark of the Ohio Hopewell culture (approx. 100 BC–AD 400), characterizing a highly specialized method of producing small, sharp stone cutting tools, primarily from high-quality flint. This technology is often considered a "diagnostic" artifact of the Hopewell Interaction Sphere, with large-scale production sites located at Flint Ridge in Ohio.
